Frequently Asked Questions

What is my tile job going to cost? How is that cost derived?

Every job is unique in size, design, and material.  Each job is carefully planned out for how long it will take to complete.  The total job cost is determined by the time it takes to complete plus materials.  Floors typically go the fastest and showers take the longest.  Obviously complicated designs factor in and can be time consuming.  Included in the free estimate, we come out to the job site, take measurements, look at any plans, get all the pertinent information from the customer, and will get back to you within a couple of days with a quote.

How long will my project take?

The length of a project depends on the size of the project, what shape the infrastructure is in, and how simple or complex the design is.  Once we start a job, we are on that job every work day until it is completed.

What kind of payment schedule will there be?

If we are supplying the tile for the job, full payment for those materials will be required. For smaller projects we require a 10% deposit on labor and materials and the balance of the contract is due upon completion.  The same for larger projects except progress payments will be set up upon the completion of each milestone outlined in the contract.

How will you have access to my home while I am at work?

We can be trusted with a key, but the best way is a garage entry code.  You can set up a code for us while we are working on your project, then you can change the code back to what you are used to.

What kind of mess can I expect there to be?

We take extra care to treat your home as if it were our own.  All walkways are covered with clean drop cloths, all debris from tear outs will be removed from the premises as it is taken out.  Any tools and materials left on the job will be organized and the work area cleaned.  Plastic is hung where needed.  Dust is inevitable; however, we take all precautions to limit the dust to the work area.

Our Satisfied Customers

We have used Scott at Tile Perfection on numerous occasions over the years. He has retiled 3 bathroom floors, our kitchen counters, our back patio and both fireplaces. On every occasion we found Scott to be on time both in arrival and in finishing the job. He always cleaned up the work area thoroughly and was respectful of our home. Any questions we had were answered, and when needed, he gave recommendations and ideas. We have had other contractors come in to our home and comment on the quality of the tile work. In fact, the one time we had someone do a tile job for us, we ultimately had it torn out and redone by Scott. We would recommend Scott and Tile Perfection with complete confidence.
